Wool & Lights – Styled Shoot

I’ve been so excited to share this styled shoot I did with Cole Gorman over at Blest Photography. We spent the month of February pinning our ideas, getting input from vendors, and traipsing around Raleigh/Durham trying to find all the pieces. I think we’re proud to say that most of things you see are homemade, and all the table-ware was found at the Durham Rescue Mission Center. The entirety of the shoot was based around a few small things: Jared’s hand-knit tie, Amy’s wool shoes, and some of the original decor from Amy & Jared’s December wedding. Cole photographed their wedding back in December, but because of the early sunset, they weren’t able to do outdoor portraits. This was the perfect opportunity to get dressed up again, take some outdoor photos, and then get a little dolled up for the styled part of the shoot.

And of course, we couldn’t have done it without our AMAZING vendors and those who helped out. We had high expectations, but when Cole and I both saw what Tre Bella & Cakes to Envy had done, we were BLOWN AWAY! Everything seemed to fall together perfectly throughout the day, and Jay, the man who let us use the property was unbelievable. He showed us around the property, gave us some fresh eggs from his chickens, and got the lamb prepped and ready for her debut. We also couldn’t have done it without the help of Amy’s sister, Beka, and the one, the only, Ashley Marivittori. We couldn’t have asked for better people to work with, so thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved! Without further ado!
